verden over.

INTRODUCTION
Scouts the world over celebrated 100 years of Scouting in 2007 by
presenting their Gifts for Peace, locally, nationally and
internationally. Through Gifts for Peace, young people are inspired
to tackle issues in their communities, build peace and bring people
together.
The Gifts for Peace Presentation includes:
- the 64 page Gifts for Peace Report, describing 110 Gifts for Peace.
- the Gifts for Peace photo exhibition consisting of 130 striking
photos showing Gifts for Peace in eight countries. The photos were
taken by award-winning photographer Yoshi Shimizu on behalf of
the World Scout Foundation. This exhibition was inaugurated in
2008 by His Majesty the King of Sweden, Honorary President of the
World Scout Foundation and His Majesty the King of Saudi Arabia,
who was instrumental in initiating the idea for the Gifts for Peace
Programme.
