Organisational structure

The YWCA-YMCA Guides and Scouts of Norway have 13.000 members organised in 320 local scout groups all over Norway.

The General Assembly is the policy making body of the YWCA-YMCA Guides and Scouts of Norway. It is composed of delegates from all 20 districts and assembles every second year.

The National Board is elected by the General Assembly and governs the YWCA-YMCA Guides and Scouts of Norway.

Any member from the age of 15 can be elected for any position in the organization. We practice gender quotation to ensure that all boards have equal representantation of men and women. If the leader is a female, the deputy must be a male. Also, all boards will have representation of a young person under the age of 26.

The head office is located in Oslo and is responsible for carrying out any resolutions passed by the National Board.

Together with 'The Norwegian Guide and Scout Associatoin' (Norges speiderforbund), we make up the SAGNO federation 'The Guides and Scouts of Norway' (speidernes fellesorganisasjon).

In a similar structure, we holds our memberships in YWCA and YMCA togheter with all other YMCA-work in Norway.
